Meet our Creamy Dream Mask: the most intensely nourishing treatment we could make. This hyper-hydrating treatment is like a glass of water for your skin, but also does so much more than just hydrate. Good for all skin types, this is a must-have mask that your face will thank you for.
The Creamy Dream Mask is harnessing the beneficial effects of Monoi oil. This unique oil, originating from the island of Tahiti, is a blend of two natural ingredients: Tahitian Tiaré flower extract and Coconut oil. Monoi oil is an incredible superfood packed fatty acids and protective antioxidants like Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid. It deeply nourishes, smoothes and regenerates the skin, plus it provides the mask an excellent tropical scent. Babassu oil, Castor oil and Shea butter do a deep dive beneath the surface to protect, nourish and deeply hydrate the skin, helping to smooth the appearance of fine lines and restore elasticity. The mask is also enriched by low-molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid that works on different levels to quench dry, thirsty skin from the inside out. Allantoin and Provitamin B5 then help soothe redness, while essential vitamins nourish and comfort stressed out skin. If that wasn’t enough, the formula contains hyper-hydrating and conditioning Honeyquat, which is naturally derived by using the process of extracting the moisture molecules from pure liquid honey. The result? Unparalleled hydration and skin smoothing powers.
Dry skin…you’ve finally met your match!
8 SOURCES OF CONDITIONING & PLUMPING HYDRATION:
Monoi de Tahiti Oil: Monoï oil is an exotic beauty oil made from soaking the petals of Tahitian Tiaré flowers in Coconut oil. The flower has a magnificent tropical scent, and it calms sensitive skin. Coconut oil nourishes the skin, and absorbs easily, which makes it a perfect ingredient to cosmetic products. Monoi oil is also rich in skin soothing methyl salicylate.
Hyaluronic Acid: We use low-molecular sizes of hyaluronic acid (HA) in this formula that work on multiple different levels of the skin to hydrate from the inside out. Smaller sizes of HA can penetrate deeper into the layers of the skin to deliver plumping, youth-giving hydration that helps minimize the look of wrinkles, and help smooth and soften skin texture.
Shea Butter: Shea butter is fat that has been extracted from Shea tree nuts native in West Africa. High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make Shea Butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for plumping and softening skin. Shea butter also has high-levels of oleic, linoleic, and stearic acids. These acids are an effective ingredient to combating oxidative stress, which is the effect the environmental toxins have on your skin cells. This helps your skin to have a healthy turnover of new cells, and also supports the structure and tightness of your skin.
Babassu Oil: Babassu oil is derived from a South American palm plant of the same name, and this nutrient-dense oil can be extracted through a cold-pressing method from the seeds. The oil from this palm tree is highly sought after due to its unique chemical composition, including roughly 70% fats. The fatty acid profile of Babassu oil makes it very beneficial for a range of skin care uses: Stearic acid is a deeply moisturizing fatty acid, Oleic acid is another great moisturizer and it’s anti-inflammatory too, Linoleic acid can help restore the skin’s barrier functions and reduce trans-epidermal water loss, Lauric acids provides antimicrobial protection and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Urea (Carbamide): Urea, aka carbamide is part of the natural moisturizing factor of skin, which is made up of 40% amino acids, 12% sodium PCA, 9% glycerol, and 8.5% urea (among other things). These are all hygroscopic (water-holding) substances, that are essential for maintaining the health, function, and hydration of the stratum corneum. When urea is applied to the skin externally, it is able to penetrate into the stratum corneum to further enhance water absorption. Hence, urea improves the ability of the skin to retain water, while simultaneously balancing adequate hydration. Remember ladies and gents: proper hydration is the fountain of youth!
Honeyquat: Honeyquat is naturally derived by using the process of extracting the moisture molecules from pure liquid honey. Honeyquat increases the moisture uptake ability – how much moisture our skin can handle – and leaves us feeling more moisturised and conditioned.
Sodium Lactate: Sodium Lactate is found in the stratum corneum of the skin and is the most cost effective, naturally occurring humectant available for use as a moisturizer. It has water holding capacity second only to Sodium Hyaluronate. Used in skin care products when extreme hydration is required.
Castor Oil: Castor oil is a vegetable oil created by pressing the seeds of the castor oil plant. Castor oil contains a substance called ricinoleic acid, which is an unsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. This unique chemical structure causes the oil to be both hydrophilic (water-loving) and lipophilic (fat-loving), allowing much better penetration into the skin than other vegetable oils. As a result, castor oil is a skin-loving ingredient, as it can work to soften and nourish both.
3 SOURCES TO SOOTHE REDNESS:
Aloe Vera Juice: The ancient Egyptians called it the ‘plant of eternity’ and believed Aloe Vera was the secret to beauty, health and immortality. Today, this resilient plant is still known for its healing properties and is widely used to reduce inflammation, soothe and hydrate skin. Aloe Vera possesses water-binding, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It is able to draw oxygen to the skin, lock in moisture and encourage wound healing. This healing action also soothes itchy skin , reduces redness and replenishes hydration to promote a calm, softened complexion.
Allantoin: Allantoin is a natural product found in the human body and is a by-product of uric acid. Allantoin is a skin-soothing and skin-conditioning agent that actively supports and promotes cell turnover and skin regeneration. It has soothing, moisturizing, and healing properties.
Panthenol (Provitamin B5): Panthenol is a provitamin B5. When applied topically to the skin, it converts into a pantothenic acid which absorbs deeply into skin’s layers. Panthenol is an amazing humectant which attracts moisture and helps skin absorb and retain it. This ability strengthens skin’s outer layers (the stratum corneum) and protective barrier. It also reduces skin irritation and inflammation and promotes skin’s recovery.
TIPS & TRICKS: 3 WAYS TO USE IT!
2. Whenever your skin needs a little extra love, use the Creamy Dream Mask as an overnight treatment. Use the mask as the last step in your routine, in place of your usual moisturizer. Apply a think layer, give it a few minutes to absorb and then you’re ready for bed. This will recharge your moisture levels overnight so you wakeup looking completely refreshed.
3. The more hydration, the better. Use Rescue Mist to remove the mask instead of water. After leaving the mask on for 20 minutes, mist the essence all over your face and neck and gently massage, then lightly tissue off any excess product. This will give you even more hydrating and smoothing benefits than rinsing with water or using the mask alone!
